Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president (PPCC) Capt Amarinder Singh today warned State Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal against playing with peace in Punjab. 'Punjab has suffered a lot and let us not take the state back to the dark days,' he told mediapersons here during his campaign tour for the civic bodies' elections. Maintaining that Operation Blue Star was history now, Capt Singh said the state needs to look forward towards peace, progress and prosperity.
He asked the Chief Minister as to what was the purpose behind setting up of the memorial in memory of those who killed during Operation Blue Star after about three decades. He also condemned the glorification of Balwant Singh Rajoana, convicted for the assassination of former Chief Minister Sardar Beant Singh.
